What is Social Care Commitment?

The Social Care Commitment is the adult social care sector's promise to provide people who need care and support with high quality services.

It is made up of seven 'I will' statements, with associated tasks. Each commitment will focus on the minimum standards required when working in care. The commitment aims to increase public confidence in the care sector and raise workforce quality in adult social care.

When you sign up, you'll get access to your own work area which will guide you through each commitment and task. And if you get stuck, our help and support section will give you the advice you need.

If you're a training provider who wants to show support for the Social Care Commitment, you can do so by becoming an Endorsed Training Provider. The Skills for Care Endorsement Framework is a quality mark for adult social care learning and development. Providers who’s training supports the Social Care Commitment values can use the Social Care Commitment training provider logo as well as the Endorsement Logo.
